Target Audience:

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with mental illness.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Identify cognitive dysfunction in patients with untreated and treated  MDD by the use of screening questions and scales
  • Help clinicians identify the factors contributing to poor prognosis in MDD patients, including residual cognitive symptoms
  • Implement strategies to treat MDD to remission of all symptom domains
